Easel'e Done Art
Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Kathryn has always been drawn to art and the creative processes involved. As a child, she was influenced by her aunt, a landscape painter. She knew then that painting was "her thing". Now, a self-taught artist, she has quietly created pictures for family and friends. Many of her pictures have also been donated to charity events. For the past 10 years, she has also added teaching art to her portfolio. Every year she shares her love of painting with the graduating grade 9 class in the local school where she works. She loves to see the look of excitement and pride on the faces of her students as they complete their pictures. It is this joy and enthusiasm that she brings to her painting events as she launches this phase in her art journey! Patiently answering questions, she models technique and encourages her students to paint in their own unique style. Kathryn works with acrylics, but her real passion is oils. Always wanting to evolve, she is currently exploring multi-media techniques. She and her husband live on the Brunskill Century Family Farm near Stockholm. She is blessed with two daughters and two grandsons.
If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint",
then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.

This was my first time ever painting a picture! It was fun, easy and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new. Excellent teacher! - Deb Toth
